CONVERT SENSITIVITY TRAINING

Converts in the Masjid

One of the most exciting moments for many of us in our masjids is when we witness somebody accept Islam. When one accepts Islam, the masjid booms with shouts of “Allahu Akbar!” and the new convert is showered with congratulatory hugs and new phone numbers. But what happens after the shahada? And how often do we see new Muslims return to the masjid?

Converts Sensitivity Training

In this workshop, learn how you can help new Muslims grow and become established both in the religion and their new community. Join us as we discuss the unique challenges and experiences many new Muslims tackle once they accept Islam, including in the home, social circles, and the community; along with tips and tricks, utilizing the Prophetic method, on how we can become that branch of support new Muslims need to succeed in their new religion and lifestyle

We hope to enable your community to become beacons of support for our new brothers and sisters. With the skills we taught over the five weeks, you’ll be able to connect with these reverts on a deeper level and keep them coming back.

Raising awareness through our convert sensitivity training workshops.

Since 2019, Embrace has been offering Convert Sensitivity Training workshops, helping masajid across the country better support their growing communities.

Through these workshops, you’ll learn how to help new Muslims grow in their faith and integrate into their new communities with confidence and support. We’ll explore the unique challenges converts often face—within the home, social circles, and the broader Muslim community—and share practical, Prophetic-based approaches to address them.
