The last few years have been marred by a seemingly never-ending barrage of bad news, fitna, and great difficulty that can leave even the best of us uncertain about the direction the future may take. This feeling can leave us at a loss about how we can prepare for ourselves, let alone guide our loved ones. To do our part to fix this, ICNA and MAS will center the 51st ICNA convention on shaping the future, how we can come together to navigate these tumultuous times, and work towards a better tomorrow.

The convention will take place over Memorial Day weekend, and we at Embrace will be using the space to help get your perspectives and stories publicized. To participate, you can find one of our dedicated volunteers at booth 334, and we’ll walk you through the process. We will also be giving New Muslim boxes for any reverts that need a hand with getting supplies.

And in Embrace’s case, use our time to hear directly from our community and broadcast YOUR stories to a wider audience. Join us at booth 334, where our dedicated volunteers will be available to help you make your story heard.

In addition to our work at the booth, we also have the blessed opportunity to host two talks:

Embrace the Future: The Necessity of Converts in America, featuring Shaun King. This panel will be breaking down how we, as reverts, can uniquely contribute to the future of the Ummah.

From Shahada to Stability: Building a Masjid System for Converts Featuring Sheikh Mikael Smith. We’ll be speaking about the barriers Reverts face when stepping into the masjid for the first time and how we can work together to make that first trip easier and help our new brothers and sisters become a valuable part of the masjid ecosystem.
